who protected us and kept us safe
who took us for evening drives to calm our nerves
who put us first with unconditional love
who taught us right from wrong
who gave up their weekends for our out-of-town games
who we sometimes argued with but always found reconciliation
who pushed us to be better and expected our Best or Nothing.
who never asked for a thank you,
and deserve more than just one day of recognition.
